About the Dan Leach Memorial Fund

Dan Leach, a cherished member of the Boulder City community and a dedicated law enforcement officer, inspired the creation of the Dan Leach Memorial Fund after his untimely passing in November 2009.

Driven by Dan's passion for sports, the fund aims to financially support local children in pursuing their chosen activities, fostering positive influences and honoring Dan's enduring philosophy.

About Dan

A gentleman and positive optimist, Dan Leach was an avid member of the Boulder City community since 1983. He knew no stranger and was the absolute epitome of an extrovert. He was as much a community coach as a loving cheerleader with the philosophy that all children should have someone cheering for them.

Husband to Laura for 24 years and father to Alexandra and Chris, he believed every child should be privileged to live lives like his children.

Dan Leach, who honorably performed 25 years of service in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department as a corrections officer, will forever be remembered as the man who could solve any problem with a bologna sandwich --- and a carton of milk.
